Established in 2003, Framework Foundation is a national charity which supports emerging Canadian artists and nonprofit organizations. Our signature program, Timeraiser, leverages and supports the Canadian cultural sector as a means of incentivizing youth and young professionals to get involved in their communities. In a nutshell, Timeraiser is a silent art auction where attendees bid volunteer time, not dollars, for original art. In addition to supporting emerging artists (each work of art is purchased at market price). Timeraiser fosters and celebrates volunteerism nationally and in local communities.
Through the Timeraiser initiative Framework’s team aims:
- To promote the culture of volunteerism across Canada
- To celebrate Canada’s emerging artists
- To assist in building the capacity of nonprofits in Canada
- To form connections within the community and break down barriers
- To celebrate the vast ethnoracial and cultural diversity that is central to what makes Canada great.
In 2017, Framework Foundation's Canada150 Signature Project Timeraiser150 raised 91,110 volunteer hours and invested $129,263 in the career of emerging-artists across Canada.
