Formed in 2010, Founders and Followers is a well established and fast-growing New York based online fashion retailer, specializing in women clothing and accessories from emerging designers, artists and homeware craftmakers. Over the past 6 years our selection has evolved to become a highly curated assortment of domestic and international contemporary designers and independent labels. We strive to find the exceptionally crafted pieces, the under-the-radar and forward-thinking artistry of contemporary designers and talented local boutique craft makers. Evolving organically as a consulting creative studio, resulting in seasonal exclusive collaborative projects with emerging designers such as Caron Callahan, Revisited matters, Proud Mary, Charlotte Stone, as well as multidisciplinary artists of home goods craft makers such as Cave Collective, Helen Levi, All Roads design, The Great Lake Goods and Electric Love. We encourage and promote artistry and artistic expression through our editorial seasonal stories, highlighting designs through the lens of up-and-coming photographers and stylists, and welcoming each of their independent talent and idiosyncratic vision. Our atelier section, with exclusive insight to the maker’s creative studios and inspiration, helps support the introduction of original and well-crafted fashion, art and objects, selected as a direct result of their distinct perspective on beauty and thoughtful aesthetic concepts.
