At Foodbank, we believe everyone should have access to food. There are Australians going without every day and we are working hard to change that. Foodbank in Queensland provides food and groceries to more than 300 front line charities and 300 school breakfast programs each year to make sure no Queenslander experiences hunger. Imagine not knowing where your next meal will come from. Foodbank Queensland doesn’t just give people food, we give them dignity and respect by providing a basic human right. But we can’t do it without you.
Foodbank Queensland was founded by Clem Jones AO, Ian Brusasco AO AM and David Muir AM in 1995, with the vision of a Queensland without hunger. Today, we are the state’s largest and most trusted hunger relief charity. Every minute, Foodbank provides a staggering 50 meals. This food supports more than 150,000 Queenslanders in need each week, but sadly, demand still outweighs supply. Foodbank operations address 8 UN Sustainability Goals, diverting large volumes of food from landfill, saving water and harmful gas emissions.
