Food Bank Aid is a grassroots charity that is tackling the daily challenge of food poverty in London by collecting donations of food, toiletries and household goods and redistributing them to the food banks where there is most need.
We set up in April 2020 to help independent food banks in North London cope with up to 10 times the usual demand on their services, as a result of the Covid crisis.
Food banks remain in desperate need of donations with increasing numbers of households relying on them each week, as the long term impact of Covid hits.
Food Bank Aid currently supports 15-18 food banks with more than 35 bespoke deliveries per week. Between them, our food banks help over 12,000 people in need per week.
Your generosity will allow us to buy food & household goods for those struggling to make ends meet right now. We work hard to help families put food on the table every day. To help elderly people who cannot manage on their own. To help thousands of people who have lost their jobs this year & who are choosing between feeding their kids & feeding themselves.
We currently have 50 drop off points for donations across North London for anyone wishing to donate food or household goods. If you wish to donate these items but can't get to a drop off point, you can send a supermarket or other online order direct to our central sorting hub.
We also gratefully accept financial donations.
Please email info@foodbankaid.org.uk to find out details of your nearest drop off point, the hub address or our bank details.
