Float Valley

We're Markham's first floatation center with multiple float tanks. Opening summer 2017! To float, you simply enter the specialized tub and lie down on top of the water which is only 10 inches deep. The water in each of Float Valley’s float tanks contains an incredible 900 pounds of magnesium-rich Epsom salts (yes, you read that right). This very special water is so heavy that it allows anybody to float effortlessly on top. The float tank is engineered so you experience absolutely no distractions from the world: it is completely light-proof, sound-proof, and has a neutral smell. You can’t feel the water because it is heated to the exact temperature of your skin. This reduced stimulation environment has been researched by neuroscientists and has been conclusively shown to have benefits for stress, anxiety, and pain-relief.
