FFI will focus on festivals that represent the modern diversity of India, geographically and linguistically. It will also support gender equality, inclusivity, sustainability, and developing skills. Festivals From India is made possible by the British Council as part of its Festivals for the Future programme, which brings emerging and established festivals together to connect, create and collaborate on international projects, with the vision to strengthen the creative economy of both countries and enable sustainable capacity building in India and the UK.
