In Brazilian Higher Education landscape, the Support Foundations are institutions created with the purpose of supporting education, research, and outreach as well as institutional, scientific and technological development projects of interest to the higher education institutions. The FUNTEF-PR (Fundação de Apoio À Educação, Pesquisa e Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico Da UTFPR) - Support Foundation of Education, Research and Technological and Scientific Development of the UTFPR - is an institution recognized by the Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MCT) as a foundation to support the Federal University of Technology - Paraná (UTFPR). FUNTEF-PR is an entity of private law, non-profit, of indefinite duration, with seat and forum in the Region of Curitiba/PR. It aims to support the UTFPR in the achievement of objectives related to education, research and extension, as well as to contribute to the promotion of scientific, technological, artistic and cultural development, environmental preservation and the improvement of relations between the UTFPR and society.
