FIDIC is the International Federation of Consulting Engineers. Founded in 1913, FIDIC represents globally the consulting engineering industry. Charged today with promoting and implementing worldwide the industry's strategic goals on behalf of Member Associations representing the majority of consulting engineering firms supplying services on a fee basis. The consulting engineering industry sees beyond the technical aspects of infrastructure development and resource management to the social and environmental obligations of sustainable development, the most important criterion for project acceptability.
