Founded in 1986, the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) is a non-profit organization which brings together more than 351 Food Banks and branches, with members in 30 countries in Europe. They recover surplus food, a large part of which would otherwise be thrown away, and redistribute it to charitable organizations and social centers taking care of people in need.
In 2022, FEBA Food Banks redistributed 876,316 tons of food to 12.4 million deprived people through 44,884 charities and thanks to the professionalism of 97,940 co-workers (93% volunteers).
