Dewdrop Foundation (DDF) is a not-for-profit organization established in 2002 with 85% female Board of Trustees members and 80% female workforce.
Our Mission is to build the capacity of communities especially the vulnerable populations to become self-reliant and empowered through inclusive governance and sustainable development interventions
Our Vision is to cultivate inclusive communities where everyone, especially the women and most vulnerable people are empowered, protected, and thrive sustainably
Our Strategic Objectives are:
1: To protect and advance the rights of women and vulnerable groups
2: To empower vulnerable populations through specialized care giving and livelihood skills development for self-reliance
3: To strengthen the capacity of communities to facilitate sustainable development by addressing intersectional issues through the GHEEES model which focus on Governance, Health, Education, Enterprise, Environment and Security to drive community growth and advancement
Through various donor-funded projects, Dewdrop Foundation has successfully curbed the abuse of elderly persons in Enugu State, Nigeria, empowered over 600 Youths through skills acquisition and job placement programs, initiated the Seenagers' Associations platform to give a voice to the Aged population, initiated the Community of Practice on Elder care and protection of the Aged with 16 NGOs, led advocacy and sensitization campaigns for women empowerment, gender-based violence, inclusive governance in rural communities, amongst others.
