Count is a magazine about the future of democracy, its transformations, and its challenges. We spotlight individuals and groups engaged in—and thinking of new ways to do—democratic politics. During the current super-election year, more than 40 per cent of the world’s population heads to the polls. Yet a rising authoritarianism has fuelled fears that democracy is in decline.
