The Community Cycling Center is a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 with a mission to broaden access to bicycling and its benefits. We partner with communities on neighborhood-based projects and programs. We believe that all Portlanders, regardless of their income, education, or ethnic background, should have the opportunity to choose healthy, active transportation.
We remove barriers to bicycling through our programs, which are designed to help kids earn their first bikes, ride to school, or attend Bike Camp. We also have programs that provide bicycles and basic maintenance training to adults who are looking to connect to work or workforce development programs.
The Community Cycling Center bike shop is a neighborhood resource and community hub. We operate a full-service repair shop, and offer refurbished and used bicycles to fit any budget. We provide low-cost and free tools for use at our community bike repair stations.
