Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS) is the lead body for Commonwealth Sport in Scotland and our membership is made up of the Scottish governing bodies of the 28 Commonwealth Games Sports.
Commonwealth Games Scotland is responsible for selecting, preparing and leading Scotland’s team at the Commonwealth Games and Commonwealth Youth Games. For each Games, we aim to deliver the best prepared team possible, creating the right environment and giving athletes every opportunity to excel.
We are one of 70 Commonwealth Games Associations who are members of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF). The CGF is the parent body for the Games, responsible for its direction and control and their mission is to ‘unite the Commonwealth through sport’.
Commonwealth Games Scotland is laying the foundations for success at the 2021 Youth Games and driving forward its plans for Team Scotland success in Birmingham 2022 and all Games thereafter.
