The program promotes positive youth development through interscholastic mountain biking for high school students in Colorado, southern Wyoming, and northern New Mexico. We believe in a culture of inclusivity and believe that all students should be supported in their ability to participate.
We provide:
• An exceptional mountain bike race series
• A festive community experience
• Training, insurance, and support to teams and coaches, regardless of experience or level of expertise
• A comprehensive infrastructure that fosters safe, respectful competition, highlighted by the common goal to develop a lifelong appreciation of the outdoors.
The purpose is to empower youth and build community. We are guided by the principles of inclusivity, equality, and stewardship. We strongly believe that prevention reduces the need for intervention. Together we foster healthy habits in youth, develop self-confidence, cultivate leadership, and strengthen family bonds
In 2019, the Colorado High School Cycling League had approximately 1,600 student-athletes participate in 5 statewide races. Student-athletes come from more than 150 Schools from Colorado, southern Wyoming, and northern New Mexico.
