A volunteer run local history museum with a collection of objects and photographs illustrating Chesham's unique history. The permanent exhibition is themed: Made in Chesham - items made in Chesham's many factories and craftsmen's tools; Remember Chesham - items from Chesham's shops, hospital and schools; Digging up the Past - the process of archeology explained; Chesham at War - memorabilia from two World Wars; Coming to Chesham - initially a collection of oral history interviews featuring Chesham's Asian community, this exhibit will be developed to included other groups and their memories of coming to live and work in Chesham.Admission £2, accompanied children under 16 free. Schools and adult groups are welcome by prior arrangement.
