Catawba Lands Conservancy is a nonprofit land trust that works to save land in the Southern Piedmont of North Carolina. We preserve a healthy, natural environment for future generations by protecting clean water, wildlife habitat, local farms and connections to nature.
The Conservancy manages the Carolina Thread Trail, a growing 15-county network of trails, greenways and blueways (river trails) that will connect more than 2.3 million people in North and South Carolina. There are more than 400 miles of trails for hiking, biking, running, paddling and enjoying the beauty and health benefits of nature.
