Catamount Classic Lacrosse For A Cure

The first annual Catamount Classic – Lacrosse For A Cure was held at Thayer Academy, in Braintree, Massachusetts on October 12, 2008. The event which raises money for testicular cancer drew close to 2,000 fans and raised nearly $20,000. The University of Vermont Men’s Lacrosse Team alone raised over $10,000 through their fundraising efforts. All of the proceeds from the event were donated to Dr. Mary-Ellen Taplin’s testicular cancer research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We would like to thank everyone that donated money and time to the event. Without all of you none of this would be possible! In the past three years we have donated nearly $100,000 to cancer research. This year we will host both a men's and women's tournament on October 9, 2011.
