CBM is an international Christian development organisation, committed to improving the quality of life of people with disabilities in the poorest communities of the world.
CBM works in the most disadvantaged societies, irrespective of race, gender or religion.
CBM seeks to:
- Reduce the prevalence of diseases which cause impairments.
- Minimise the conditions which lead to disability.
- Promote equal opportunities for economic empowerment, livelihood security, and full inclusion in all aspects of society for persons with disabilities.
CBM employs specialists in a multitude of disciplines, both in the field as co-workers and within the departments of the International Office, and the emphasis is on training national staff.
CBM employs trained specialists in the fields of disability and development, project management and other medical and professional fields to support the goal of improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities.
