We’re a non-profit organisation helping people learn to cook, eat a healthy diet, grow their own food and waste less food. We deliver projects on:
- food poverty and work with food banks
- teaching cookery and nutrition
- community & therapeutic gardening
- food waste redistribution
- food strategy & policy
We particularly work with vulnerable adults and people experiencing deprivation, isolation, ill health and other life challenges. Our work makes lasting changes to habits and behaviours which improve lives.
We recently opened our flagship project, the Community Kitchen, on Queens Road in Brighton - a social enterprise cookery school where classes with chefs & food experts support community cookery groups for health & wellbeing. The space also operates as a venue for hire for team building events, parties and private classes.
We aim to connect and inspire individuals, community groups and organisations. We believe food is more than just fuel, it brings people together and changes lives. Support from our donors and volunteers helps make this possible!
