Brightest Young Minds

Founded in 2000, Brightest Young Minds (BYM) is a registered NPC in South Africa developing a generation of proactive young leaders equipped with the skills, mindset and network needed to address present and future challenges in Africa. Our mission to connect young leaders and facilitate the development of skills and design of solutions that create sustainable impact across Africa. Over the last two decades, we have identified Africa’s Brightest Young Minds between the ages of 18 and 35 whose bold ideas and actions are driving the continent forward. Each BYM is invited to attend our flag ship event, our annual summit where we develop their capacity to create sustainable change through our model Connect, Inspire, Impact. These BYMs join our Alumni Network of over 1,600 of some of the most impactful young leaders on the continent.
