Beanantees is the brainchild of best friends Lana McGhee and Ciara K Gallagher. Together they have created an Irish fashion brand with a difference. Beanantees stock a range of t-shirts, bags and jumpers with empowering, female-positive slogans translated into Irish. All products are designed, embroidered and printed in Donegal and have all mean made ethically with Fair Wear or WRAP certification, meaning everyone in the supply chain is paid a fair wage.
The designs are inspired by pop-culture, feminism and the world around us with each range supporting a different Rape Crisis, Pro-Choice or LGBTQ+ organisation. So far the brand has raised over €2,500 in just nine months. Some of the most popular designs are Yas Banríon (Yas Queen), Is Cailín Doire Mé (I am a Derry Girl) and Cailleach Salach have been sold in their hundreds and shipped all around the world. Beanantees are also stocked in the Wishing Chair (Bundoran), Harbour Road (Gweedore) and An An Siopa Leabhar in Dublin.
Beanantees prides themselves on inclusivity with all items available in a unisex fit with sizes from XXS to XXL. With over 10 designs available, each with their own personality there is a Beanantee for everyone.
