Back on Track is a Manchester charity that enables disadvantaged people to make lasting changes in their lives.
We support adults who are going through a process of recovery or rehabilitation to build the skills they need to lead independent and fulfilling lives. We support ex-offenders and people who have had problems with alcohol or drugs, accommodation or mental health, working with them to build their wellbeing, confidence, skills and employability.
Our centre in city centre Manchester provides training, work experience, volunteering and mentoring. We recently opened an on-site cafe and our new catering project is now offering new training, work experience and volunteering opportunities. Overall the number of people we support each year has increased from 600 to 1100 in the last five years.
We believe developing partnerships with local employers and agencies is the key to succeeding in our aim of supporting people into work or further training. We have a range of ways that employers can get involved, from running a skills workshop, working one to one with our service users, or holding a company challenge day. If you're interested we'd love to hear from you.
We're also always looking for new volunteers in a range of interesting and rewarding roles. Just head to our website and go to 'get involved'.
