The Golden Backpack Program paved the way for distributing food and meals to Golden school children and families, and now, we will expand the mission! GBP evolved to be part of BGOLDN, the non-profit created with the City of Golden to address the impacts of COVID-19 on its residents. BGOLDN will serve students just as The Golden Backpack Program did, while also continuing to confront food insecurity for people of all ages throughout the community while supporting local business at the same time.
