Asociatia React

Asociatia React is a Romanian NGO that improves people’s lives through strategic interventions in 3 main domains: health, education and social integration. With 5 regional offices (Bucuresti, Sibiu, Craiova, Piatra Neamt, Targoviste), 14 national/international excellence awards received and programs that change thousands of lives, React is continuously striving to have a positive impact on the society. Beyond the figures, awards and distinctions, Asociatia React is based on people: volunteers, employees and partners who believe that through sustainable development the future will be better. Programs: "Al treilea sector"(2013 - present) - online journalism project. The site publishes original journalistic materials based on a strong documentation process combined with care and passion for the Romanian non-profit sector, together with articles inspired by good practice examples or social innovations, successfully applied abroad. www.AlTreileaSector.ro "Controlin"(2012 - present) - national program for diabetes. It includes 500 people suffering of type 1 ( insulin dependent) and type 2 diabetes (insulin dependent) who are helped in managing their condition. www.controlin.ro “A life might depend on you”(2011-present) - campaign that informs and educates the public on the proper use of the emergency number 112 and the importance of performing first aid in medical emergency cases. Over 12,000 people have received free first aid training. www.salvez.ro “The doing good factory”(2010-present) - strategic EU financed project focusing on social economy development in Romania. The project created 6 social enterprises in different regions of the country and hired over 150 socially vulnerable persons. www.fabricadebine.ro “A chance for life”(2008-present) – nation wide blood donation program which has generated over 100.000 blood donors, increasing by 8% the number of blood donors in Romania and saving more than 150.000 lives. www.pentruviata.org
