Apotheker ohne Grenzen Deutschland e.V. (AoG) ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation und gehört zu dem weltweiten Netzwerk von „Pharmaciens sans Frontières“. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 2000 setzt sich Apotheker ohne Grenzen für eine nachhaltige Verbesserung von Gesundheitsstrukturen von Menschen in Entwicklungsländern ein. AoG leistet schnelle und flexible pharmazeutische Nothilfe nach Katastrophen und unterstützt in langfristigen Projekten lokale sowie internationale Partner mit der Beschaffung von lebenswichtigen Medikamenten und pharmazeutischem Knowhow. Mit über 2.000 Mitgliedern engagiert sich der Verein in drei nationalen Projekten in Berlin, Mainz und Frankfurt am Main und die fünfzehn, deutschlandweiten Regionalgruppen organisieren mehrmals im Jahr Infoveranstaltungen, Charityevents und Vorträge. Apotheker ohne Grenzen schult zudem pharmazeutisches Fachpersonal in den jeweiligen Projektländern und führt im Inland Einsatzkräfteschulungen durch, um deutsche Apotheker und Pharmaziestudenten auf einen ehrenamtlichen Einsatz vorzubereiten. ********** Pharmacists without Borders Germany is a pharmaceutical humanitarian aid organisation and belongs to the worldwide network of „Pharmaciens sans Frontières“. Since its foundation in the year 2000, Pharmacists without Borders is engaged in the improvement of health systems around the world. Our competence and expertise are sought after in different ways: we provide high-quality medicines, counsel patients when providing medicines and organise appropriate drug storage, training and education for local people, working in close partnership with local NGOs. Pharmacists without Borders also has deep expertise in the provision of emergency relief following natural disasters: We minimise acute drug shortages through speedy drug supplies and therewith alleviate the suffering of the affected population. We prepare and train all our volunteers in depth for the variety of tasks they face during their front-line work.
