Apex Works is a Leicester-based charity. It has been working for over 30 years to help vulnerable and marginalised people to increase their confidence and self-esteem, to undergo training and supported work experience, and to find work. Over the 30 year period it has helped more than 15,000 people.
The people we help include homeless people, ex-offenders, people with learning disabilities or mental health problems, young people not in education, employment or training, the long term unemployed, the over 50’s and lone parents. Projects we run include Green Light for homeless people, Apex Enabled for people with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties, and Business the Smart Way for ex-offenders wanting to find work or start their own business.
We have a number of practice labs which are supported work environments. These are in catering, cleaning, administration and customer care, green and self-employment.
We have regular Open Days, advertised on our website at www.apex-works.co.uk. Come along and meet us!
We particularly encourage contact from employers who would be interested in working with us, any person or business who can help with our fundraising and anyone who thinks our services would help them. Please contact info@apex-works.co.uk.
