Established in 1990 the American Chamber of Commerce in Poland (AmCham) seeks to be the leading voice for international investors in Poland, representing its member companies, the investor community at large and demonstrating the positive role that business and commerce play in the development of the country and society. Currently, AmCham boasts as many as 360 members who were the largest foreign investors in Poland in 2010.
The goals of AmCham Poland:
- to provide an organization for American and multinational investors to discuss and identify common interests, and exchange information regarding their economic activities in Poland
- to act as a representative body and collective voice for the views and common interests of the members before Polish and US business and governmental institutions
- to maintain contacts with Polish authorities to keep members informed on legal, commercial and economic objectives of Polish government and upcoming legislation
- to promote United States trade, investment, finance and industry involvement in Poland
- to promote corporate governance and good corporate citizenship
