The American Banjo Museum preserves and promotes the music and heritage of America's instrument - the banjo, with interpretive exhibits as well as video and performance theaters where visitors will witness the history of the banjo - from its humble African roots through its heyday during the Roaring 20s to its present voice in Bluegrass, folk and world music. With elegant galleries on two floors visitors are immersed in the sights and sounds of the largest collection of banjos on public display anywhere in the world.
The American Banjo Museum is a world-class facility and the only one in the world dedicated to the banjo.
