Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) is an African-led non-governmental organisation based in Nairobi, Kenya with country programs in South Sudan, Uganda, Zambia, Somalia and Ethiopia, that supports livelihood-challenged communities in Africa to sustainably improve their quality of life.
To help conflict-affected communities transition from reliance on humanitarian aid to sustainable long-term development, we employ people working across six thematic areas:
1. Basic services (health, education, water, hygiene and sanitation)
2. Food and income security
3. Environmental management and responsiveness to climate change in all these settings
4. Governance, civil society strengthening and peace building
5. Humanitarian relief and recovery
6. Research and innovation.
Addressing crosscutting issues including HIV/AIDS, gender equality and equity, age, disability and population management and family health is at the heart of all AAH-I programming.
