Abhyuday, IIT Bombay is a student run organization working towards creating a sense of Social Responsibility and Leadership among the youth of India. Abhyuday was conceptualized as a movement by socially conscious students and professors of IIT Bombay in the years 2011 and 2012 in support of the ‘Anti-Corruption’ and ‘Women’s Right’ protests then going on in the country.
Deriving its name from the Sanskrit word meaning ‘The Rising’, Abhyuday has established itself as India’s Largest Students Body for Social Development in the mere span of time. Taking forward IIT Bombay’s Senate mandated requirement of participating in Student Gymkhana activities of Sports, Culture and Social Service, Abhyuday serves as an avenue for students to start their journey of self-development while contributing towards the Society.
Abhyuday encompasses a large spectrum of activities that aims at modelling the youth to work towards solving World’s Social Problems & our ‘Initiatives’ focus on creating a positive impact on the local communities. The ‘Social Fest’ is a two day extravaganza that celebrates the spirit of Social Good.
We invite you to be a part of India’s Largest Student Run Movement for Social Good.
