Austin's Black Fashion Council (ABFC) is an experiential arts, commerce, and entertainment platform dedicated to the preservation and expansion of Black, Latine, and Multicultural designers and brands at the forefront of today’s fashion movement. We are building visibility in today’s industry by highlighting the dynamic role and presence of BIPOC beauty, style, and culture at the intersection of sustainability, innovative design, technology, and social/environmental impact. Our work and leadership are focused on closing the opportunity gap in fashion by advancing historical transparency and building cultural representation for diverse talent and voices. We cultivate experiential fashion exhibitions and shows to empower and uplift designers of color. Through our innovative events, we provide real entrepreneurial business opportunities for designers of color to showcase their perspective in an industry that often overlooks their potential and impact to revolutionize change in the continuously evolving world of styles and trends. At ABFC, we are restyling the existing fashion narrative to pioneer a new point-of-view that reinforces the power and influence of Black, Latine, and Multicultural communities in fashion.
Black and Latine culture—
set the trends,
lead the trends,
ARE the trend.
Please, don’t deny it [ever].
