Çevre College was founded in 1998 by the Ekşioglu Educational Institutions Company. The school is located in Erenköy, a central location on the Anatolian side of Istanbul. Çevre College opened two kindergartens in Ataşehir and Batı Ataşehir.
Çevre College applies the principles of the national curriculum which is supported by extra curricular international and national activities. The process of teaching is initially designed by curriculum development unit in cooperation with the academic staff. Both teaching and learning performances are measured and evaluated by appropriate assessment means.
The language of instruction is Turkish in both kindergarten and primary school but ESL studies have considerable weight. In high school the medium language for some of the lessons, such as physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics is English. There is an English preparatory program in the high school prior to the ninth grade. The second foreign languages available at our schools are Spanish, German and French starting from grade four.
Çevre College is working enthusiastically to create an awareness of environmentalism for its students. ECO SCHOOLS, UNESCO, SEMEP, ASP net, YOUNG MASTERS PROGRAM, VOLVO ADVENTURE, GEYC are samples of the projects offered to the student’s choice. The school is also a member of different leading national and international environmentalist associations.
