The Regional Environmental Centre for the Caucasus (REC Caucasus) is a regional organization, established under the “Environment for Europe” process in 2000. REC Caucasus promotes and facilitates the implementation of the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”, supporting democratic, inclusive and sustainable societies and regional cooperation. The RECC mission, mandate and strategy position the organization as a neutral platform and catalyst for accelerating sustainable solutions in partnership with different stakeholder groups at local, national and regional level. The status of the RECC as an independent, non- advocacy and non-profit organization has become a model for open, transparent, efficient and accountable regional cooperation in the region of South Caucasus and beyond.
For the last 20 years, the RECC has implemented more than 100 medium and full size projects, currently RECC manages 12 projects with a total amount of approximately EUR 4.5 million. In total RECC employees over 25 employees and have country offices in all three South Caucasus Countries.
