WHO ARE WE?
We are a member based support organization for over 225 not-for-profits in Calgary including the 150+ community associations. We offer our members support in organizational development, financial services, urban planning, crime prevention and safety, engagement, and more. We work to support board members and volunteers who improve neighbourhood life in Calgary by providing programs and services that help them build their capacity to support and mobilize residents, identify and provide services, and be on the front lines of important issues affecting their organization and neighbourhoods.
Along with our city’s community associations we make up the largest collective volunteer movement in Calgary, with more than 20,000 volunteers strong!
WHO DO WE SERVE?
We serve a diverse group of small not-for-profit organizations in Calgary with our primary and founding members being community associations.
Community associations are neighbourhood based organizations run by volunteers that provide social, recreational and educational opportunities to their residents, as well as a sense of belonging and a voice for community life. There are over 150 community associations in our city working every day to improve neighbourhood life in Calgary!
WHAT DO WE DO?
We provide our members with educational workshops and training, one-on-one support, online resources on a variety of helpful topics, networking opportunities, and specific service areas that address their needs.
We also recognize the many volunteers who serve in our network, and proudly promote the value of belonging to local community associations.
