Marie-Anne Delahaut is Director of research Information society and Gender equality at The Destree Institute. She also serves as system and network administrator for that European Institute of Foresight Research, NGO official partner of UNESCO and in Special consultative status with the UN ECOSOC since 2012 (www.institut-destree.eu).
She is president, founder and CEO of the Millennia2025 Women and Innovation Foundation, PUF whose goal is to realize the concrete actions of the Millennia2015 foresight research process she created in 2007 for equality between women and men, respect for human rights, promotion of the human capital and of digital solidarity in order to empower women (www.millennia2025-foundation.org).
She was awarded the title of "Outstanding Woman 2011" for "her work and her action in favor of equal opportunities between women and men" from the Belgian Federal Deputy Prime Minister in Brussels and received the diploma of "Namur Woman of the century" in Namur in 2011. She has been selected among the "Women Inspiring Europe" 2012 by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE). She has received the "Golden Star of Africa" Award 2013 in Cotonou, Benin. She is included in the List of the world´s top female futurists collected par Ross Dawson in 2015. She was awarded the "Anne-Marie Lizin and Théroigne de Méricourt" Prize in 2016 for "her actions in the struggle for women's empowerment and the determination of her daily commitment to equality between women and men" in Namur. She was conferred with the award of "Woman of the Decade in Community Leadership" by the by the Women Economic Forum 2018 in The Hague.
She is the author "Together for equality!", honored by the Preface written by Ms Irina Bokova, then Director General of the UNESCO.
