Aspen Camp is a 501(c)(3) non –profit organization providing enriching and effective educational, outdoor and recreational experiences for Deaf and Hard of Hearing population and the sign language community.
For more than 50 years, Aspen Camp has served over 15,000 deaf and hard of hearing children and youth across the country. At an elevation of 7000', Aspen Camp is a 17+ acre riparian environment nestled alongside Snowmass Creek in the Roaring Fork Valley.
Traditionally, we held three months of summer programs, a weekly concert fundraiser with the Town of Snowmass, an annual camp picnic, and winter programs. We also partnered with local schools and organizations for retreats, classes, and events.
Today, the Camp is completely volunteer run by its six member board, an on-site caretaker, and several supporting neighbors / community members. In 2022, we hosted four programs on campus, installed a new fire-safety alarm system, and refurbished our main lodge. For 2023, we are looking to update the bathhouse. We also welcome additional volunteers for Camp, to inquire email us via our website - AspenCamp.org.
