OzGrav is an ARC Centre of Excellence for Gravitational Wave Discovery, formed to capitalise on the historic first detections of gravitational waves to understand the extreme physics of black holes and warped spacetime, and to inspire the next generation of Australian scientists and engineers.
We have researchers involved across Australia from our university partners:
Swinburne University of Technology (host);
Australian National University (ANU);
Monash University;
University of Adelaide;
University of Melbourne;
University of Western Australia;
University of Queensland;
University of Sydney;
as well as other partner organisations CSIRO ATNF and AAO.
International partners include the LIGO/Virgo collaboration, Glasgow University, Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, Caltech, Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics, MIT, University of Warwick, Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy, Universita degli Studi di Urbino – Carlo Bo, and NASA Goddard Space Flight Centre.
