Who We Are
Jeans 4 Justice is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to ending sexual violence through creative awareness campaigns and cutting-edge education programs. Our vision is to decrease the prevalence of rape and sexual assault in young people by partnering with existing events, organizations and brands. We use fashion as a vehicle for awareness and focus on empowerment through education and prevention programs at high school and collegiate levels.
Our Primary Audience is young people ages 16-29, as 80% of victims are under the age of 30. Jeans 4 Justice campaigns and education programs strive to make an impact on those who are most affected by this prevalent issue by inspiring them to have a voice and empowering them to make safe and conscientious choices.
Our Brand
Jeans 4 Justice is more than a series of campaigns and programs. The J4J brand as a whole is a call to action to embrace your uniqueness, sense of self and inner beauty. It gives survivors permission to acknowledge that their experiences have changed them but not tarnished them. It gives young women and young men a reason to get involved without feeling ashamed, labeled or judged. We align with brands that support and strengthen these messages, feelings, emotions and realizations.
Scope and Reach as an Organization
Jeans 4 Justice is a San Diego-based charity that strives to make an impact in our own back yard as well as on a national level. By creating partnerships with companies, designers, innovators, survivors and advocates we are able to broaden our audience, expand our reach and strengthen our message. Jeans 4 Justice enlists the support of the art and fashion industries, the athletic community and general public to give a voice to an issue that affects all people, regardless of age, race, gender, religion or ethnicity. Our two primary focus areas in 2010 and 2011 are Justice in Motion and Jeans 4 Justice Campus.
