The Arizona Philharmonic is an orchestra drawing talent from across Arizona to serve Central Arizona’s growing needs for professional musicians. It is a collaborative effort of multiple organizations, including Chaparral Arts, Inc., Yavapai College, Yavapai College Performing Arts Center, and Prescott Chorale.
Arizona Philharmonic's origins come from an increasingly vibrant music scene in Prescott, Arizona where both funding and expected artistic quality are growing.
Our model is to offer a modest number of full orchestral concerts, chamber ensembles for other concerts, and supplemental musicians for existing ensembles.
Our inaugural season is 2018-2019. Our first concert was on August 26, 2018, featuring Peter Bay of the Austin Symphony as the conductor, and Steinway Artist James D'León and marimbist Maria Flurry as soloists.
The Arizona Philharmonic is a program of the 501(c)3 non-profit Chaparral Arts, Inc.
