The Congregation of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM) is a Roman Catholic religious institute currently living and working in over five countries.
Committed to the service of the Church and society, our foundress, Eulalie Durocher (Mother Marie-Rose), provided needed access to education to young people and focused on developing all the aspects of each person. Under their inspiration, the Congregation has worked for the education of girls and young women, especially those living in rural areas, with the concern of meeting the needs of people from every background.
Today, the SNJM mission revolves around these focal points while integrating the values of social solidarity with impoverished and marginalized people, the promotion of justice and human rights, and protection of the environment. The spiritual heritage, the educational vision of “the full development of the human person” and the concern for justice bequeathed by Marie-Rose Durocher are still alive to this day while being constantly adapted to the multiple needs and challenges of our changing societies.
