Sun Yat-sen University, founded in 1924 by the Chinese democratic revolutionary Dr. Sun Yat-sen, is a preeminent academic and cultural center and the premier location for talent cultivation and knowledge creation in South China. Its main campus is located in the modern metropolis of Guangzhou, known formerly in the West as Canton, with a branch campus nestled in the beautiful coastal city of Zhuhai.
