Bookworks is a locally-owned, locally-operated, independent bookstore located in Albuquerque's North Valley. We are one of Albuquerque's last independent bookstores. We carry new books only, along with calendars and datebooks, newspapers, toys, games, CDs, and more. We specialize in author events, hosting over 150 a year. Over the years we have hosted authors like Alan Arkin, Elizabeth Gilbert, Yann Martel, and Deepak Chopra, along with hundreds of other local and national authors. We also have special events just for kids! Bookworks has also been providing off-site sales and Mobile Bookstores for special events, such as fundraisers, conferences, meetings, and seminars, for over 25 years. Our Mobile Bookstores include carefully curated selections of books and gifts specifically tailored to the interests of the attendees. Our selection includes books relevant to the conference or event topic, books by conference speakers, popular bestsellers for attendees to enjoy in their “down time,” and gifts. We are members of the American Booksellers Association, Mountains and Plains Independent Book Sellers Association, Albuquerque Convention and Visitors Bureau, New Mexico Book Association and the New Mexico Book Coop.
