IBS Filtran Kunststoff-/ und Metallerzeugnisse GmbH , based in Morsbach-Lichtenberg, is a US American joint venture. Since the company was established in 1986, we supply all renowned automotive and transmission manufacturers worldwide with filter system solutions for automatic transmissions. Benefiting from additional research & development centers and production plants in the US, China, Czechia and in Mexico, as well as business partners in Japan and Korea, we can meet all global customer requirements. One example for our successful cooperation with automotive resp. transmission manufacturers is the worldwide first series-production application of a plastic oil pan with integrated suction oil filter for automatic transmissions. This was launched in 2001, and – compared to conventional systems – it benefits from the following features: considerably less weight, design flexibility, component and function integration. In addition, advancements in the area of laser welding methods for plastics were put into practice in series production, and a special CFD-software – a world first – to simulate flow and filtration processes in a filter (CFD) was developed. New filter media and systems complete IBS-Filtran’s program.
