The Amsterdam Academy of Architecture prepares students to practice spatial design as a discipline at the interface of art, science and technology. The Academy offers three masters courses: Architecture, Urbanism and Landscape Architecture. Graduates obtain the academic title Master of Science and are immediately admitted to the Dutch professional register of architects, urbanists and landscape architects. Half of the master's courses consists of design education, the other half consists of acquiring professional work experience through relevant part-time employment.
We challenge students to develop into an excellent architect, landscape designer or urbanist, working in conjunction with other design disciplines in an international context. This synergy and breadth is unique to our training programmes. Our tutors are leading designers who combine their roles of designer and educator.
