The Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center is the University of Maryland’s thriving center for the performing arts. As part of the College of Arts and Humanities, partners in the building are committed to educating the next generation of arts creators and innovators, while engaging audiences in new, awe-inspiring dance, music and theater experiences.

• Clarice Presents is the artistic platform of The Clarice and one of the nation’s foremost university based performing arts presenters. Through onstage performances, digital engagement, civic initiatives, and community programs, Clarice Presents entertains and innovates while helping address the grand challenges of our time.
• The UMD School of Music is fiercely dedicated to artistic and scholarly excellence, diversity in curriculum and programming, robust engagement with the world around us and the creation of an inclusive community.
• The UMD School of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies advances and transforms the research and practice of these disciplines through a commitment to excellence and innovative education in the performing arts.
• The Michelle Smith Performing Arts Library builds and provides access to collections that support, inspire and celebrate performing artists and researchers.
