COIDIC (the China Overseas Infrastructure Development and Investment Corporation) is a Hong Kong headquartered company that specializes in early stage development and project preparation of energy and infrastructure megaprojects. COIDIC's current focus is Africa, but it also evaluates projects in other continents especially those that promote China's One Belt, One Road strategy. COIDIC's initial capitalization is $500 million, making it one of the world's largest project preparation companies. Its shareholders consist of large Chinese state-owned enterprises, led by China Development Bank's CADFund (China-Africa Development Fund).
