Founded in 1942, Zamorano is a university of long-standing tradition and prestige. As a result of its significant contributions to agricultural science, and the education and development of leaders from all socio-economic levels, Zamorano is considered by governments and the private sector as a strategic partner for the advancement of agricultural programs and enterprises that not only benefit Honduras, but all of Latin America. This confidence in Zamorano is evinced by our collaborative agreements with a significant number of the United States´ leading universities.
Some 70 percent of our students, hailing from 21 countries, receive full or partial scholarships, offering them a unique opportunity to pursue advanced study and to attain gainful employment. Zamorano graduates are entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, and hold important government positons in the region.
