Charles has developed a recognizable style in his design collection, which are regularly featured in notable publications including Architectural Digest, Veranda, World of Interiors, and House & Garden. Charles Edwards launched his business in 1992 at 582 Kings Road, London. A BADA member, Charles began by selling English and French antique furniture and lighting. A conversation with renowned designer David Easton changed the course of the business when Charles agreed to replicate one of his lanterns, leading to the design and manufacture side of the business. Today Charles Edwards offers an exclusive collection of over 400 designs inspired by 19th and 20th century English, French and American fixtures – from Gothic to Mid-Century modern. With a focus on authenticity and quality, all designs are available in a wide range of hand finishes and any paint colour. Customization is also available on the size of fixtures, with some lanterns being more than 2m tall. Each piece is as unique as the interior it is destined for.
