Maria Curie-Skłodowska University is the largest public university in eastern Poland. As an institution deeply rooted in the region, for over 70 years, it has played a culture and opinion-forming role, and it does contribute significantly to building a knowledge-based economy. Up to date, over 235 thousand students graduated at the UMCS. The university has 11 Faculties in Lublin and the Branch Faculty in Puławy, over 80 study and 250 specializations.
