The Young Asian Health Professionals Association (YAHPA) is a group of professionals and students from various fields of health. It aims to equip the Asian community with scientific and medical information since the language barrier and misinformation are problems present within this population. YAHPA wishes to act actively as an intermediary, translator, promoter and speaker so that everyone can have equitable access to existing medical resources.
Objectives:
➖ Disseminate scientific and medical information to the Asian population of the greater Montreal area;
➖ Promote good practices in physical and mental health;
➖ Facilitate access to various health and social services resources;
➖ Promote the various health professions: medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, kinesiology, nutrition, etc.;
➖ Promote and encourage the involvement of young people in the realization of projects for the Asian community;
➖ Equip health professionals to improve communication and optimize care for Asian clients.
